During the week of January 6th, 2014, we are planning to release new features and functionality for VeriTime. This release features a beefed up ACA report, some cosmetic changes, as well as options to hide VeriTime functions you are not using. Read on for more information.
Better ACA Reporting
This report is so important we moved it to the home page of VeriTime. You will also notice that the report has been renamed to “ACA Healthcare Report.”
At the top of the report you will now have the ability to toggle between a week view and a month view. The week view uses a 30 hour limit. The month view uses a 130 hour limit. You will also be able to filter the results to show only what you need to see.
The ability to filter the results by visibility has also been added.
Once you run the report you will notice the results will show in red, yellow, or green depending on if the User’s hours are over, near, or under the limit.
Click the arrow to the left of a User’s name to see more detail.

Forecasting
Another new feature we have added to the report is the ability to forecast hours for the Users. If you run the report for a date range that goes into the future the report will display “Forecast Hours” based on the User’s already scheduled data.
Features Renamed
You may notice many of the names have changed on the icons. We decided to simplify some of the feature names or change them to something that more accurately reflected the functions of that feature. Here are the ones that changed:

New Look to Some Pages
In our last release we updated the look and feel to some pages in VeriTime. In this release we are expanded that look and feel to more pages. The following pages received a revised grid view and the introduction of a new Summary Review.
- Custom User Groups
- Work Schedules
Click on the name of an individual item to view the new Summary Review.
Hide Features Not Being Used
We have added some new General Settings that will allow you to enable and disable specific features. When certain features are disabled unneeded parts of VeriTime will be hidden from view.
Here are some of the settings you can enable/disable and what it will show/hide.
Multiple Levels of Approval
- If this is not enabled, the Timesheet and Timesheet Review will show the description of the status instead of an icon.
- Approval Workflows will be hidden and Visibility Profile will be updated to show an “Is Approval” column, instead of an “Approval Level”, to indicate if a profile can approve timesheets. The wizard will also display a checkbox that when checked will automatically add the visibility to the hierarchy.
Comp Time
- If this is not enabled, the Comp Time rule will be hidden from Step 3 of the Staff Group wizard.
- The Leave Balance screen will be hidden along with the “Comp Time” section of the User Profile wizard.
Wage Options
- If this is not enabled, Wage Options will be hidden along with disabling Step 2 of the User Settings wizard.
- The Wage Option Summary and Wage Option Association reports will be hidden.
Wage Option Sorting
- If this is not enabled, the sorting icons on Step 2 of User Settings will be hidden.
Account Allocations
- If this is not enabled, everything related to Accounting Codes and Account Allocations will be hidden including the fields on reports, Positions, and Users.
Substitutes
- A new “Substitutes Settings” section was added to the General Settings page and all substitute related functionality was placed under this new checkbox.
- When turned off, the system will hide substitutes inside of VeriTime including in the Users section.
- The Vacancy Assignment screen will be hidden along with many of the “User Type” filters on reports.
Payroll
- Many of the new options mentioned above are grouped under this new rule including “Enable Subs/Emps to View Payroll Summary” option.
- If this is not enabled, the system will hide the Payroll Summary, Payroll Review, and Payroll Lock options. All payroll related rules will also be hidden from Step 3 of the Staff Group wizard.
Reorganized and Redesigned Configure Tab
The Configure tab was redesigned to reduce the size of the page and to place items into logical groupings. Things will be easier to find now.
New Assign Steps
A new “Assign” step was added to both the User Template wizard and the Wage Option wizard. You will now have the ability to assign Users to these options without having to go to the Users wizard.
