During the week of May 12th, 2014, we are planning to release some changes to functionality in VeriTime. This release includes major changes to the Position Details page, an updated Leave Balance Report, and a few minor changes to increase usability. Read on for more information.
The Little Things
Before we get into some of the more significant items here are few minor yet important changes.
Multi-district Sub Login
A substitute who works in multiple Aesop districts will now be able to use their multi-district PIN to clock in or out at a kiosk.
Hyperlinks to Aesop
Any Aesop confirmation numbers in the Timesheet Review will show as hyperlinks. Clicking on this link will take you to the absence in Aesop.
Printing Reports
When you print reports in VeriTime the title of the report will now show at the top of the printed page.
New Wage Code
Jury Duty will be added as a new Wage Code. It will be available to be associated to a Leave Reason.
“Display Time Duration” Setting
Previously in VeriTime you had to decide how you wanted time duration displayed (time or decimal) in various places in the site. We decided to simplify things and convert it to one organization level setting with an override capability.
The setting will be found in the General Settings screen.
- You will be able to override the setting for a specific administrator in the Administrators wizard.
- You will be able to override the setting for an employee or substitute through the User Templates.
- The “Display Format” option has been removed from all reports. The system will now use the org level setting or the User override setting.
- The default for the org level setting will be the Time format.
Leave Balance Report Update
The Leave Balance Report will be updated with a completely new look and feel. This new look is more streamlined and provides more data on the screen.
The date range filter will be removed from the report and replaced with a “Balance Ending On” date. This will allow you to view what a balance was on a previous date.
Changes to Positions
The most significant changes this release will be the changes to the Positions admin with most changes being on the Position Details page. We added functionality to the Details page that will allow you to make additional changes to a Position without having to leave that page.
On the Positions grid view, a new “Add Users” button will be added. This will allow you to add a User to a Position without going into the Details of the Position.
Here is a rundown of some of the changes coming to the Position Details page.
A new checkbox list will be added to the right of each User record. When a row is checked, a new “Actions” drop-down menu will be enabled. This menu will allow you to control the displaying or hiding of the details for an individual User. You can also choose to add a new assignment to the selected Users.
Using this new checkbox list, you will also be able to select “End Active Assignments.” This will allow you to select multiple Users and specify a date to end their active assignment.
New “Edit” and “Delete” buttons will be added to the assignments grid for each User so you can edit or delete an assignment right from this page.
A new “Add Users to Position” button will be added to the page. Clicking this button will open a 2-step wizard to add a User to the Position.
An Effective Date input field will be added to the top right of the screen. Changing this date will show you the details as they would be on that date.
A Position status filter will be added to the page which will allow you to view the Users based on their Position status.
