VeriTime Release Notes – October 29, 2013

Summary

During the evening of October 29, 2013, we will release two new reports for VeriTime. Please read this document carefully, we believe you will find these new reports very useful. We continue to look for your feedback so that we can make VeriTime better with each release that we deliver.

New Reports

User Approval Chain Report

As part of our continuing effort to make VeriTime easier to use, the VeriTime team has developed a report that lists who is designated as approvers for each individual user. The User Approval Chain Report can be accessed from anywhere within the VeriTime system where there appears a quick link icon next to the User’s name.

release 10 29 13 01

Clicking on the “Approval Chain” quick link will launch the User Approval Chain Report for the selected User.

release 10 29 13 02

The User Approval Chain Report will return a list of Approvers for the selected User that is broken out by their Position and Location. The report will also reveal who is granted approval rights for the selected User at each defined Level of Approval.

The report lists the Approver’s name and unique system Identifier, as well as the name of the particular Visibility Profile that grants the Approver rights over the selected User. This is all very useful information when verifying that the Approval Visibilities have been set correctly for a selected User in the system.

A mechanism has been added – Effective on this date – that allows the Admin to change the Effective on date for the report to view how the Approval permissions were set as of a selected date in the past. This is especially helpful when a User has changed Locations or Positions and the Admin wants to reference who was eligible to approve time for this User in his or her previous position.

Assigned Visibilities Report

The VeriTime team developed a companion report – Assigned Visibilities – that offers the Admin a view into which Users the Approver has permissions to approve. This report is accessed through a quick link on the Approver’s name on the User Approval Chain Report.

Clicking on the “Assigned Visibilities” quick link will launch the report for the selected Approver – in this example, Jeremy Craft.

release 10 29 13 04

The Assigned Visibilities Report will return a list of Users assigned to available Visibility Profiles for the selected Approver that is sorted by the Visibility Profile name. The report will also reveal at which Level of Approval this approver is set for the assigned users.

The report lists the Users’ names and unique system Identifiers, for those Users assigned to the particular Visibility Profile. Additionally, in the event that an Administrator is permitted to View Users assigned to a Visibility Profile but not Approve time for those Users, a second section would appear on this report under a header “Jeremy is able to view”.

A mechanism has been added – Effective on this date – that allows the Admin to change the Effective on date for the report to view how the Approval permissions for the selected Administrator were set as of a selected date in the past. This is especially helpful when an Approver has changed Locations or Positions.
